Beautiful Light

Hi all,

This past weekend I was blessed enough to get to shoot my best friend and her boyfriend of 6 months (or almost 6 months) at a beautiful park at home. She let me experiment with a whole new set of light during the early evening and all of us were EXTREMELY pleased by the results.

I have to say it's been a little bit of an ego boost honestly, to hear all the comments back from this shoot. Someone even told her that they thought they had been done by a studio/professional. I was blown away. It really goes to show you what some experimentation, playfulness, bubbles and beautiful people in love can do for you! :)

Just want to share some of what we got...

So freaking precious! 

We had a BLAST with the purple bubbles. Yay for spur of the moment $3 purchases at Target!

I played with the color some. :) 

It makes me so happy that he loves her so much. And it's so evident how much she loves him. I couldn't have asked for a better guy for my best friend to fall for. Honestly. <3

I hope to play more with shadows the next time I get to shoot in this light. But honestly, I fell in love with these pictures before I even got them off the camera. I really do feel like I'm learning and growing as a photographer and that's one of the greatest gifts of all.

Senior Shoot

So, one of my best friends here is graduating in just a little over a month and we wanted to do some senior portraits. I absolutely love how they're coming out. I found a new place to do some shooting and it's making me so excited!

I also really love how palettes really start to appear for different shoots. For L's, the greens have really started to come out. K's, a few weeks ago, were pink and brown. M's (in the last post) were more of the darker colors contrasting with his pink shirt! I LOVE it. :)

Such a beautiful girl. Inside and out! 

This is probably my favorite of the entire shoot in all honesty. :) Once we got her out there on the ledge... haha. It was great!
