A cool opportunity..

So, I've been talking to a photographer that's in the area I'm from and the day after Christmas I'm getting a pretty cool Christmas present! :)

She's invited me to come over to her studio and shoot for a few hours that day. I'm really excited to learn a little bit about studio lighting and how it all works. I've never ever shot in a studio before, so it should be interesting! :)

I'm really quite excited! Just wanted to share! :)

Thinking of some fun session ideas for the holidays...
Really want to try:
~Session in the snow (family & couple)
~Session involving Christmas lights
~Animal session
~Shooting in the snow as it falls

... We'll see if anything fun happens on my break coming up! :)

Sing... Sing Out Loud... Sing Out Strong...

So, a few weeks back, one of the singing groups at my school asked me to come take pictures! I had such a great time with them. I realized how truly blessed I am to go to school here and be around such awesome musicians and to have such wonderful friends. (:

Just a quick update!

Just a few shots from a recital poster shoot last week! (:

I had an awesome time shooting with E.! I also shot my first event on Saturday, it was fun and definitely a learning experience but I've found that I much prefer individual shoots (or couples/families/etc). There's a lot more pressure in an event I feel like then there is in a photo shoot. But it's okay! It was a good learning experience.

Otherwise, left and right people have been contacting me about shoots. I'm actually shooting one of the singing groups here on campus tomorrow night before my work-study job, ha! I'm pretty excited. They're all really talented so it will be cool to hear them rehearse!

Well, I'm off to bed...
